Former AJEC Chaplain Becomes New Jersey Canon Missioner to Historic Black Churches

The Reverend Doctor Brian Jemmott served as the Chaplain of the Absalom Jones Episcopal Center in the mid 1990′s. After several years of faithful service, he was called to parish ministry within the Diocese of Atlanta (most recently he served as rector at Holy Cross).

Before leaving Absalom, Father Brian was responsible for overseeing the completion of the current Absalom Jones Chapel — allowing worship services to move from the fellowship area into a beautifully constructed chapel.

We celebrate his new call to serve in the Diocese of New Jersey and his presence in the Diocese of Atlanta will be missed!
