Repairs and Renovations Underway

Carpet replacement

During a record cold winter, pipes within the chapel burst leaving the sacristy and sanctuary flooded. After pushing through the Spring semester with no water in the chapel portion of the building, the pipes were fixed and water restored this summer. We’re also getting new carpet. That replacement is well on its way.

May Dr. Harding Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory


  Dr. Vincent Harding, a teacher, activist, prophet, and preacher entered eternal rest on May 19, 2014. The New York Times obituary is here. You can read Lucas Johnson’s┬ámoving tribute about Uncle Vincent here. There will be a memorial service in Atlanta for Dr. Harding, and the details are forth coming.

Confirmation at the Cathedral

  It is with great joy that we welcome Casey Jones, William McChriston, and Ross Williams into The Episcopal Church. Ross and Casey were confirmed and William was received by the Bishop of Atlanta on April 6, 2014.

Mother Kim goes to the Holy Land

Mother Kim traveled to the Holy Land with a group from Saints Andrew and Matthew’s Episcopal Church. They were in the Holy Land for 8 days and visit several holy sites throughout the countries of Israel and Palestine. To see additional photos from her trip click here.
